Events and Fundraising
Fundraisers are a way for students and parents to work together and raise funds for the band. Fundraisers allow the band to offer unique musical educational experiences that our kids might not otherwise enjoy.
Orders are due no later than Mon, Oct 31st, and pickup is Wed Nov 30th (10am-6pm) at the Hope Collective. Band students are selling these beautiful plants again this year (red, white, or pink). These gift cards can be used for many merchants in the area, while a percentage of the total card (which can change monthly by vendor) will go into your student's band account. Band Video Orders
Would you like a great video of your student's performances throughout the school year? Half-time shows from Marching Band and a collection of Concert, Symphonic, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz performances are all included. This is a great year of music memories! Blue Ray ($25) and Thumb Drive ($20) formats are available.

LZHS Band Camp runs from July 25 - 27th at Carthage College. Student check-in is 8am on Monday (7/25). Parents make sure to drop by to make sure all paperwork is complete. Students are picked up on Wednesday (7/27) after the 7pm performance on the field at Carthage College. There are no buses back to LZHS.
Our annual car wash always makes a big splash! Find us in the LZHS Performing Art Center (PAC) parking lot. Purchase tickets ($20 for 4 tickets) in advance at Band Camp check-in or Wednesday at Carthage. Or just stop by on Saturday; donations are always welcome.

NU Band Day at Ryan Field
LZHS joins other local bands for a performance at Northwestern University's Ryan Field. Bands will take the field during halftime for a wonderful musical event on Saturday, Sept 10th @ 5:30 am call time.
** Ryan Field does not take cash. Please ensure your student has a debit/credit card (or is paired up with a friend who has one) for food purchases.
Middle School Night
Middle School Night is an opportunity to demonstrate the band program to the 7th and 8th graders from MSS and MSN. LZHS Band will host sectionals to help strengthen musical skills and inspire our band community. Come out and cheer on our musicians at 8:30pm.

This is an end of Marching Season performance. It will showcase all the exciting and toe-tapping music the students learned.
Come prepared! BBLZ and Mr. Thompson will auction off an opportunity to lead the Marching Band in playing “Hey Baby." That’s right, you can be a drum major for a song. 6 reserved seats for concerts will be auctioned off too. Last auction item, lead one of the bands for a song at the May 3rd Concert. Donations of cash, check, or credit card are accepted.

2022 Chicago Thanksgiving Parade
Every few years, the LZHS Marching Band has an opportunity to join this televised event. It's an early start of the day (call time 6:00 am), and students will return to HS in the early afternoon. Flock A Friend (Not in 2022-23)
For a $35 donation, flocks mysteriously arrive after 9 pm the night before your selected date so they are ready to greet the recipient first thing in the morning. They migrate to the next house later that night. Sign up now and let's paint the town pink.
